It’s that time of year again! Time to start thinking about what you’re going to do for Valentine’s Day. If you’re looking for some fun and festive activities to do with your kids, look no further! Here are some of the best Valentine’s activities for kids.

  1. Make homemade Valentines. This is a great activity for kids of all ages. Younger children can make simple Valentines with construction paper and crayons, while older children can get creative with markers, glitter, and sequins. Homemade Valentines are always a hit!
  2. Have a heart-shaped scavenger hunt. Hide small heart-shaped candy or stickers around the house or classroom and let the kids go on a hunt to find them all. The one who finds the most wins a prize!
  3. Make Valentine’s Day cards for family and friends. This is a great way to spread the love on Valentine’s Day. Kids can make cards for their grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, and even their friends.
  4. Decorate sugar cookies in the shape of hearts. Sugar cookies are delicious any time of year, but they’re especially tasty when they’re decorated for Valentine’s Day! Get some pre-made dough or whip up a batch from scratch and let the kids have fun decorating them with icing and sprinkles.
  5. Have a Valentine’s Day dance party. Crank up the music and let the kids loose! A Valentine’s Day dance party is a great way to get everyone moving and shaking off any winter blues.
  6. Make Heart-Shaped pizzas for dinner. What could be more festive than heart-shaped pizzas? This is a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy together. Simply roll out some store-bought or homemade pizza dough into heart shapes, top with your favorite toppings, and bake!
  7. Watch a romantic comedy movie together as a family. After dinner on Valentine’s Day, snuggle up on the couch with some popcorn and watch a classic romantic comedy like “Sleepless in Seattle” or “A Cinderella Story.” It’ll be a fun way to end the day together as a family!
  8. Have an indoor picnic lunch. If going out for Valentine’s Day isn’t your thing, why not have an indoor picnic instead? Spread out a blanket on the living room floor, pack up some sandwiches and snacks, and enjoy a quiet lunch at home together as a family.
  9. Go on a nature walk and look for signs of love in nature. Take advantage of the warmer weather (if you live in an area where it’s already starting to warm up) by going on a nature walk together as a family. See how many signs of love you can find in nature! Look for things like birds building nests, bees collecting pollen, flowers blooming, etc..
  10. Play games together as a family that involve showing love and care for each other such as charades or Pictionary where players have to guess words based on clues given by their teammates about words related to love or caregiving without saying any of those actual words aloud . These kinds of games are not only fun but also help teach important life lessons about how to show love and care for others in creative ways.
